Vindogara Software of Irvine has been producing Home Economics software for over 25 years now. We started by writing software to minimise the amount of time spent on food ordering in a busy secondary school Home Economics department in 1982/83, using an Apple II computer, and called it Timesaver. Then we adapted it to run on the BBC 'B', managing to run a many recipe, many ingredient, many class, system on a 64K machine with 100K floppy discs. This we sold as OrderMaster, and it was adopted as an essential element of teacher support at the time of the new senior exams in about 2000. Then we added nutrition and diet analysis functions to it, and renamed it as NutriGraph, trade marking the name. Most recently, following a chat with Brechin High School Home Economics department, we added a third set of features, for Sensory Analysis charting, and the current version is NutriGraph8. This product, still essential for Food Technology, and at a very affordable price, is now registered with Curriculum Online, and on sale either directly from ourselves, Vindogara Software, or from software retailers R-E-M of Devon. NutriGraph is suitable for all Food Technology product development and diet analysis, from lower to upper secondary.
