| How
we are organised |
||
| Almost
100 volunteer advisers who will help you to solve problem,
using the wide range of local and national resources - a resource base
which is always being expanded |
Bureau
managers who are responsible
for the quality of advice you receive, as well as the management of their
bureau, and a General Manager |
A
Board of Management - volunteers
responsible for procedures and finance, using their skills and knowledge
to support the staff and volunteer advisers. |
How
we are funded |
|
NACAS
is financially supported by North Ayrshire Council, who value the work
of the dedicated volunteers in contributing many hundreds of hours of
unpaid time for the benefit of our local communities, and by project-based
grants from other sources, such as our local NHS Board and the DWP. |
Please sponsor the monthly travelling expenses of our volunteer advisers - find out here how your business or organisation can help. We are delighted to welcome the first sponsor, who is meeting the cost of volunteer expenses for June 2009 |
The Irvine Citizens Advice Bureau has served the local community for over 40 years, having opened in 1968. The other offices, in Saltcoats, Kilbirnie, Largs and Arran are also long-established.
The two aims of NACAS -
to
ensure that individuals do not suffer through the lack of knowledge of their
rights and responsibilities or of the services available to them, or through
an inability to express their needs effectively,
and
to exercise
a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services,
both locally and nationally.
