POLICE REPORT:
Increase in housebreakings - A male was apprehended for these incidents
Drugs operation carried out in Irvine. These were a success
Test purpose scheme - Underage drinkers - underagers to go to shop premises
to purchase alcohol and see if they are asked for ID
North Ayrshire Council for Community Wardens to be placed in Castlepark

Bob Hopewell - Follow up letter regarding traffic diversions when the Bailey
Bridge is closed
Holes in road - Annes shop Burns St. these have been fixed but road cones are
still there
Leave review of Constitution at the moment
No 11 bus stop at Irvine Cross is terrible to get past letter to be sent to
see if bus stop can be moved
Open High Street while Bailey Bridge is down - letter to be sent to NAC suggesting
this
Write about miner's lamp what had happened to it when Library moved

POLICE REPORT:
Christmas/New Year crime low - Extra Police in town centre
Taxi marshalling a success
Housebreakings - Vine burgh - Male in Custody
Shoplifting down extra police on duty this was a success
Issue with vandalism - Castlepark difficult with geography of place - Youth
at children's panel
Licence Premises - Recruiting Young Youths to go out with police to target shops
- to monitor if licence sells alcohol to them
Shopkeepers are made aware that this will happen they are sent a package explaining
all about it
Police are targeting adults that buy alcohol for youths that are underage

Mr J Miller from planning gave a very informative account on the way applications
to planning is processed and how decisions are made

Bogus Workman in area - Male in custody
Dickson Drive, Hunter Drive Area - Garages have been broken into Police following
this up
Castlepark Gangs, Graffiti on end houses - Police Proactive - helicopters out
- groups of 20-30 caught 6 youths
Police monitoring gang website
Street disorderly in town - very quiet
Test Purchasing - sending underage Juveniles into shop to purchase alcohol-
targeting shops very successful - on going
On going Community Police - Duke of Edinburgh Awards
Police trying to get youths off the street

Grey Bridge from Fullerton litter, trolleys in the river it's a disgrace
Planted areas are full of litter around town
Dog Wardens to come down to Xcess area dog fouling is a disgrace

No Police report - Community Police Sergeant Andy Brown attended meeting and
introduced himself he did not know what information we were looking for gave
information about the new shift system that will give double man power to hot
spot areas
