Rotary+ Community ZipSlide 2005 - report

The 2005 ZipSlide on June 11th enjoyed super weather - while not as hot as in 2004, we were lucky that it was the one dry and warm day for a while and for some days thereafter - within 24 hours we were back to pouring rain and even hailstones.

Numbers coming forward from the community to raise money for their own charities were not as many as we had hoped - only 84 participants on the day - but those who did take part raised between £4500 and £5000 for charity, after all costs were cleared.

Seagate Rotary now moves on to complete the £20,000 project, overseeing the provision of boreholes and of school science equipment. Photos should appear on this site by the end of July 2005.
