Altrusa Ayr continues to gather books for Mzuzu (for the secondary AND the primaries AND the University community library).

During March,
(a) an encyclopaedia set has been donated by Mr Richard Reiss of Munich and the Farmer family of London - Head Teacher Mr Ziba saw the set during his visit to Scotland and looks forward to receiving it in Mzuzu;
(b) books have been donated by John Galt Primary, Irvine;
(c) books are soon to be collected from Firrhill Secondary, Edinburgh.

The Murphy family (above, Kevin with his mother and father) on May 21st held a fund-raising event in their back garden, with cream teas in the afternoon and a buffet meal in the evening.

The lovely cream teas and (on right) the buffet below the bunting in Malawi colours and the Scottish flag. The garden party raised £848 !!
